About Me

Finding a therapist can be a challenging task to take on especially with all the different credentials out there. Sometimes you might find yourself asking, what do all the letters after that person’s name even mean? The credentials are really important in helping people know that they have gone to school for counseling AND it is just as important to be able to make a connection with your therapist as well.

Let me take some time to share how I approach therapy and explain a little bit more about me.

When working with someone, I like to focus on the individual who is looking for a safe space to talk about their life challenges while utilizing a motivational approach. So I approach therapy in a way that is very individualized to each specific person instead of using a very ridged cookie cutter approach.

I enjoy working with individuals to help them navigate every kind of challenge that life throws at them, whether they are personal, familial, and/or professional. I recognize that you may not only need a cheerleader in your corner to celebrate the good victories, but also to help you push through those difficult times.

While I personally believe that pharmacology may be a necessary aid for many individuals, I am also supportive of those who wish to seek healing through non-medicated means. I will help you find the most appropriate and comfortable therapeutic options to help you reach your goals in life.

I utilize various theoretical approaches in therapy which can include the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, and Humanistic Therapy approaches. I am an expert when working with issues such as substance abuse and recovery, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and self-awareness.

If you are ready to start changing your life, I’m here to help!

I, myself, have benefited from counseling and I want others to experience the guidance and confidence we all deserve to experience in life and in therapy.

You will find that I am extremely personable, and I am understanding of how much the therapeutic relationship can positively affect one’s success.

I’m here for you and I am eager to learn more about your journey!
