Hi, I’m Emma!

About Me

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here. I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially for kids, teens, and young adults who are navigating important life changes. You may have many questions about whether therapy is the right choice or if it will really help. I once faced those same questions, and I understand how challenging it can be.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with children (ages 5+), teens, and young adults. My goal is to help them navigate some of life’s most important and challenging stages, providing a safe space for them to express themselves and grow.

My Approach to Therapy

In our sessions, I create a supportive and uplifting environment tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best serve my clients, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Art Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Play Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Structural Family Therapy

For younger children and teens, I foster a safe space where they can explore their feelings at their own pace, while also working collaboratively with parents to ensure the best support. For young adults, I offer a space to explore their identities and aspirations, helping them clarify what truly matters to them.

Common Questions You Might Have

Life can feel overwhelming, especially for children, teens, and young adults who are still figuring out who they are and what they want. Here are some questions you may be asking:

Is there hope for my child’s emotional struggles?

How can therapy help my teen build confidence?

What if my young adult child doesn’t think they need therapy?

How do I know if my child is ready for therapy?

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

Why I Became a Therapist

My journey began in high school when I started attending therapy myself. Like many teens, I struggled with self-esteem and didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin. That experience was transformative; it helped me feel more confident and understand my emotions in a way I never had before. Inspired by the positive impact my therapist had on my life, I decided to become a therapist to help others—especially young people who might feel lost or unsure, just like I once did.

Here for You

You deserve more than just getting through the day—you deserve to thrive. Together, we can explore:

How to handle emotions and build confidence

How to set healthy boundaries and manage relationships

How to feel better about who you are and where you’re going in life

Whether you or your child are just starting out on your mental health journey or have been struggling for a while, I’m here to provide the tools and support needed to feel your best.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I encourage you to reach out and start this journey together.
